Hi, nice to meet you!
I'm Bridget! My friends call me any number of things - Bridge, B, Bridget, Bshizzle, BC, Nurse Bridget...
A bit about me -
I'm 24, I live in an apartment in Chicago and grew up in the suburbs with my parents, 2 brothers and sister. I come from a big Irish Catholic family and have lots of aunts and uncles and even more cousins than I can count and absolutely love them all.
I'm a Christian who continues to grow and take steps forward - and back - every day. The name of my blog references a song by the Casting Crowns, Lifesong. With each of the days that God blesses me with here on this Earth, I strive to make my lifesong sing to Him. I am so blessed to be where I am today and I pray that I am living a life that makes Him proud.
I'm a registered nurse and got my degree from a small liberal arts school in central Illinois. I graduated a few years ago and worked for a time in a small community hospital. I started a new job in the fall of 2010 at a major medical center in the city and I continue to learn something new every day. I'm thinking about going back to school, but first I have to decide what it is I really want to do with my nursing life.
If I wasn't nursing, I may have found the courage to travel all over the place wherever God lead me with my camera, fondly known by friends as the 'bridge-cam.' It's a rare moment when I don't have my camera on me and I am a picture-taking fiend.
In my spare time I love to read, scrapbook with my photographs, I've taken up running (and ran my first official 5K last fall!!), I like to watch movies, play games, hang out with my friends and family, get out and explore, be near water, and the list could go on forever.
If you're wondering why on earth I decided to make a blog that linked songs to my life, just read my first post...
